Das temporäre Kunstwerk
The Temporary Work of Art
Dieter Huber

A work of art is an act of cultural resistance
to the everyday barbarity of the ordinary.
The ability to create something new and recognize the extraordinary
is a privilege reserved only to the few.

Even the most sublime human thoughts and
the most masterful works are ultimately temporary.
Even they cannot break through the
eternal cycle of becoming and passing.

The true greatness of human striving
transcends the idea and the deed –
That substance is and will always be a source of inspiration for others and all who follow,
for both the forgotten and the new that lies within us all.
